Sharon Ann Smith passed away at 10:27 am Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville, IN.  Sharon was 66.  She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie, and her two grandsons, Ryan and Stephon; her brothers, Wesley Crow and Elton Pope; her boyfriend, George Dresbach; and many loving and caring friends.

Sharon had a warm heart and gentle nature.  She loved her grandsons.  Sharon made friends easily.  She enjoyed attending socials in the church.  Her life journey brought her to the state of Indiana where she met George.  Sharon shared the last thirteen plus years of her life with George by her side.

Thank you for keeping Sharon in your thoughts and prayers.  Sharon will be greatly missed.

To Sharon’s Family and my Father, George Dresbach:

I was happy to have met your buddy, Sharon – she was one in a million! She had a heart of gold, and a smile that was contagious. I’m so glad you two found one another and got to spend time together. I know you always took good care of one another, and you’d even bring your barber right to her – so she could get all “prettied” up from time to time. I hope you keep those memories forever. I wish you and Sharon’s family peace, love and comfort.

    Love,
    Kelly Dresbach (George’s Daughter)

I received Sharon’s last message to me in a Thanksgiving Day card I received yesterday in the mail. I will keep this card for as long as I live. Sharon was so smart and thoughtful. The card would have been mailed just before her passing.
My deepest condolence to Sharon’s family. Sharon spoke to me about her mother and two brothers from time to time. Sharon’s brightest days were here in Indianapolis, though, on the days that she would visit with her daughter and two grandsons!

Sharon was my aunt. There was a period of time that she lived in Texas when I was in High School. That was when we became close. We would go to the movies or just sit at home playing games and sharing stories. She was a fun aunt and I enjoyed the time we got to spend together.

Wes Crow I was so thankful that I was able to reconnect with my sister Sharon. She had grown into a peaceful relaxed person and had a good sense of humor. Many may not know that she had so many illnesses toward the end and her passing had to be a relief for her.I spoke with her a couple of days before she passed and she was in good spirits and sounded like she was gonna live forever. I was stunned when I got the call that she was gone. She’s in a much better place now. She had to have suffered greatly in her later years. I want to take a minute and thank George. He was the best thing to happen to Sharon over the last 13 years. He was her true friend and I believe her soul mate. Thanks George for loving her even to the end. I got a call from the nursing home and they assured me that the staff was with her when she passed and they were holding her hand. They said her passing was very peaceful. It comforts me to know that they thought enough of her that they stopped their duties to be with her before she passed. I asked what could I have done ? They assured me there would not have been time for me to have gotten there before she passed. I’m thankful she had a peaceful passing and had people there who seemed to really care for her.
